Time for a Change

People often talk about the "circle of life"- but never mention the triangulation of life. The triangulation effect involves dynamic change...and the Greek Delta symbol serves as a reminder that change is indeed a part of life, and should be embraced, for it is a sign of progress, growth and development. So why are people so afraid of change? Change is inevitable. In fact, if we don't change, we (the human race) won't survive. Therefore, the very thing we are afraid of- if not exercised, can hinder and stop all progress. So change is unquestionably necessary for surviving, and vital in achieving progress. It boils down to fear of going outside your comfort zone.
Progress cannot be made by idly taking the backseat, and existing. We must be intentional about change. The sooner you adopt a philosophy that change is necessary and inevitable, the closer you are to achieving personal growth. Personal growth over time- like interest (or debt…assets versus liabilities, both possess compounding interest) compounds and gains momentum as you stay intentional with a laser focus mindset. Here’s how to make the change:
Look at the Big Picture
Intentional personal growth is a lifetime pursuit- it’s a journey. But you must start somewhere- and there’s no time like the present. Start by asking the “Think Big” questions. Rather than looking at it from a negative/pessimistic standpoint, such as “How far can I go?” “Will I succeed?”, etc. Rather, ask yourself what you want to achieve in life, and what steps it will take to get you there.
This will serve as your lighthouse, as it will guide you as a beacon of light to your desired ports of call:
-Where do you want to go in life?
-What direction do you want to go?
-With whom do you want to take this journey?
-What’s the farthest you can imagine going?
Whatever you do, wherever you go- above all else: make the most of every opportunity.
“Whatever you do, wherever you go- above all else: make the most of every opportunity."
So invest in yourself, and be the best version of you possible- each and every day. The more you work on harvesting your true potential- the greater your possibilities for new and incredible opportunities.
Thought of the Day
Are you doing everything in your span of control to better yourself? What measures are you taking today to improve your future self? What steps have you taken to prepare for the present this time last year? Are you doing what you can to excel, or are you just getting by? Remember: you are fearfully and wonderfully made.
